I went to visit four year old, K9 today at the house. He had hernia surgery this morning and looked like he had no pain, which Lori said she was staying on top of the pain giving him Tylenol and Motrin for children.
I think children recover very quickly and you cannot tell they have had their tonsils out the same day! They are so resilient.
I know angels watch over us, and especially ones like K9.
This evening for dinner I went to Mi Ranchito in American Fork, with Tana and the kids joined Aaron, Candice, Aislyn, Ella, Parker and Joel. I ordered their Mi Ranchito Soup. It was chicken with rice soup flavored with cilantro, tomatoes, and fresh avocados. Aaron really likes it and requested I make some for them at home. Everyone wanted a taste of it and agreed they liked it too. It reminded me of the kind of soup my mother used to make. I think that is why Aaron wanted me to make it soon.
I always enjoy eating out at Mi Ranchito, because it IS like going to my mother's for dinner. The food is delicious and remarkably similar to the way my grandmother, aka Nane, Maria Rodriguez cooked too. The owners of the restaurant are from Guanajuato, so it is close to what I was used to eating at her house. Cannot deny it was a little bit nostalgic.
