Alonso underground tunnel in Guanajuato, Guanajuato. Mexico
The Pyramids of Mexico City . . .
Each day Ron and I pray for the opportunities to serve and to prepare us for those same to come to pass.
Years ago I visited Guanajuato with my grandfather Ricardo Rodriguez and my youngest sister, Linda. He showed us where he grew up and where he and his father worked in the silver mines along the minerales aka as the pueblecitos named La Luz, Posos, Dolores Hidalgo, San Felipe and Guanajuato.
It has always been my hope and prayer to be able to go back to visit Guanajuato, the capital of the state of Guanajuato.
Today we heard about a project in the works for some time next year overseeing one hundred-twenty acres of fruit orchards. Ron has been highly recommended by some of his former colleagues. They sound very hopeful Ron would to go there to help them.
I feel the hand of the Lord prompting from the other side influencing what we may be given to do at a future time; and answers to prayer. My heart is so full that when I thought about this today, I was in tears with joy and the subtle way in how the Lord works and hears the yearnings of our hearts and desires as I ponder them today.
I feel my father close and know he would be pleased to see me go back to Guanajuato. His birthday was yesterday and has been on my mind perhaps of the connection. Quien sabe?
There is a lot to look forward to do, nevertheless.

Goodbye's Are Only for A Short Time
Rainbow~
Today was the last day for one of the sisters I worked with at the temple. We have had some amazing common experiences we share on our meal breaks. We listen to each others' life situations and give our love, support and empathy along with encouragement.
Sometimes things will appear to be so hopeless, but when just around the corner there is a rainbow with a pot full of gold! My friend, Tammy's husband lost his job about three months ago. He went about looking for another and found one after about a month. The job was in Oklahoma, near Oklahoma City.
She had stayed here to sell their home. Well, you know that could go on forever with the way the market is right? Well, their house sold and she is moving back to be with her husband. She is so sad to leave serving in the temple. I gave her some words of love and encouragement to let her know it is only good bye until we ALL meet again. She will make new friends in Oklahoma, and can go work at the temple there which is only thirty minutes away.
Her children are all here in Utah and she will miss her grand babies, she said. Her 82 year old mother is here also. I told her to why not take her with her? She gave it a thought and said she could have her come for a month. She felt better, even so.
She counts her many blessings that her husband has a job, they sold their home, and she can go join him soon. We know that serving in the temple is a special blessing in and of itself. So, I bid her farewell and know she will continue to be blessed in her new home away from Utah. A new beginning.
I can see so many blessings I receive each day. And we receive so many tender mercies too, without a doubt.

Impressions of Piano Recitals for Grandchildren
What parent isn't moved at the performance of their child(ren)? I know I am! Today was a piano recital with teacher, Aimee. She is a great motivator and gets so much out of her students. The variety of student base is varied and from ages 5 to 16 years old.
I was very touched by their performances. There is a lot of dedication and I have gratitude for the talents they are developing. How fortunate all of the children are to have parents behind them encouraging and supporting in their endeavors.
Good job, K3,K5,K6,& K7 performed; as did Erin, Jacob,Drew and Adam; Aislyn & Ella! K3 composed his own song and did a wonderful, original creative piece.
Sorry, but I didn't have my camera, but some others did. If I can get a few emails of downloaded pictures, I will post them later...
I truly see the hand of God in the lives of my children and grandchildren with their gifts and talents.
I had a tender mercy given to me today. I had a pendant I wore that I put on a black fine cord yesterday. I had it on, but when I woke up I only saw the cord, and no pendant. I prayed to know if I would see it again and have it back. I was given an answer that , "Yes, I would." It just amazes me how the pendant worked its way out of the cord slip knot. Anyway as I came home this evening, there was my pendant setting on the counter in the downstairs vanity.
It was a tender mercy to find and made a resolve to find another way to wear it. This is the second time the pendant came loose without even knowing how it did. I am thankful for the assurance I had and faith the pendant was not lost, and another blessing counted for today.
