An Extra Measure of Blessings--

Today I had an interview with one of the counselors of the temple presidency at Mt. Timpanogos temple. It was a nice visit and I was set apart after the interview. I am going to serve two days during the week. Wednesday first shift and Thursday third shift. I will be in the baptistry on Thursday evenings. My weekly schedule should be flexible enough that I can manage to be available those two days of the week.

President Fuller set me apart and blessed me with the blessing to be able to serve and help the patrons, and be a blessing to those I serve. He also included at the end of the setting apart, blessing me with an "extra measure of blessings for serving at this time." It was a short and sweet blessing. I start next week on Wednesday.

I had thought about which days and times I should choose before going, and rationalized a second shift would be better. But when I was there in front of Pres. Fuller, he asked if I was an earlier riser to serve where I was needed. I forgot myself and responded without discussion on that, and I said "yes." So here I am ready to serve! You would all be proud of me and my choice.

My thoughts go back a few years of the amazing feeling of being in the temple often as I served as an ordinance worker. I am committed to the Lord and recognize his hand in my blessings every day. This just adds to my joy and I look forward to the associations I will make there.

The setting apart mentioned those associations. I cherish those associations I made when I was there before so have that experience to compare it to. The best way I can describe it is that it is liken to true sisterhood and the feeling of charity in the hearts and faces of these dear sisters and brethren. There was a radiant glow and sparkle to their eyes. I will know it once again working closely with my fellow sisters. God bless them. And a special blessing for those patrons who come faithfully to be in the temple. I love it. Does it get any better than this?
