Anita Recio~ My Grandmother and Namesake
This is my grandmother, Anita Recio. She lived in a very exciting time. She was born in 1900 and lived through the1920s as a young, vibrant, woman. She survived the Depression years, two World Wars, the 1950s, and 1960s too. I could always think of her and hr age because of what year it was.
This picture was taken of he at the courtyard at the Alamo, as it was written on the foreground of the photo. She liked to dress in fashion of the day. She always took a lot of pictures of herself which is a record of hr life and adventures. She had a lot of confidence of who she was and what she was about in her life.
She was a happy persoo and took care of those around her. People turned to her for advice or small loans from time to time. (I found her record book of her disbursments. She always had what she needed and worked hard for what she had in life.
