Today we made yummy caramels and chocolate turtles. Ron helped and was such a great support and I appreciated that so much. It really takes more than one person to do that kind of thing.
While one stands at the stove stirring three different times, you can't leave it. So, Ron helped fill in the spaces when I needed the pecans chopped or to butter the glass dish to pour the hot liquid. By the time we finished stirring the second batch, he was a pro and his caramel recipe turned out a lighter color than mine. The ones I did look kind of rusty color, with his more golden. We will find out tomorrow when we wrap them in wax paper what the difference it was.
Having Ron's help made the whole project go smoothly. I wasn't all stressed out when we finished either.
