Getting Things Done and Feeling Good About It~

Today, seemed like a Tuesday. I got so much done, and completed several tasks, that I can hardly believe it.

My first task was to tackle getting my car inspected and the emissions test in South Provo. The oil needed to be changed, so I had it done at the same time. I read my pocket Book of Mormon while waiting instead of reading (trashy) magazines. I read three or four chapters in Ether while my car was serviced. I was there over and hour.

This shop did a thorough job and explained everything to me when they finished. I really appreciated it. One of the hoses was cracked so they replaced it for me at a very reasonable cost. Then, one of the connections to the spark plugs was barely touching where it was supposed to so the mechanic took care of that too.

The fellow working on my car was quite tall and reminded me of the butler on the Addams Family, only with dark hair and in a blue mechanics jump suit uniform. He kept walking back and forth where I was reading. So, I noticed him looking like Lurch.

I left the Auto Center but I still just need a new windshield. Mine is cracked across the passenger side. I went back to Lindon since I needed to get two new tires, and a few brake lights bulbs. I had to also get a new air filter, which I bought at WalMart while I was waiting to get the tires installed. The mechanic offered to put the filter in, which saved me a lot of worry. Aaron said he would take care of putting in the new brake lights in after I get them at Autozone.

I felt very fortunate to have gotten so much done today. I also took the car and had it washed and cleaned inside and out. It looked like a new car inside with the cleaned dash (with Armoral). They coated the tires with some black oil and they looked great!

To top off the car wash, they let me choose a car freshener, so I picked "Vanilla Bean."

I also went to get my car registered while I was in Provo so that when I get everything else done to pass the inspection off etc, all I need to do is show the slip from the mechanic that everything was completed. Then I get the new tags after that.

What a day. I am thankful for the tender mercies to get so much accomplished.
