My Greatest Joy--So far & "The Doctrine of Motherhood" to bring to pass the immortality and eternal lives of my children.
I attended Sacrament meeting in Matt & Beth's ward in Redmond, WA. The speaker was a just graduated co-ed from BYU-Idaho, who gave an excellent talk about motherhood, even though she was a single sister. She stated., "the hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world; is steadfast and immovable. She used the word M-O-T-H-E-R and had a phrase for each letter, to summarize her talk.
M- Multi-tasks doing more things at once
O- Optimism with a silver lining to encourage and uplift
T- Teachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
H- Have heroic faith
E- Energetic leader
R- Real Divine
The young student gave me inspiration to write some things that came to my mind as I pondered some of my experiences as a mother when my children were in the midst of growing up. My duties as a mother were most evident in my mind's eye. I will write those on another page on this blog, perhaps dated another day.
